                      iii.   John Anderson, b. c. 1790 in GA?.  He married Mary E. Duckworth, married 1831 in MS.  M: This information comes from the Ray Shows family web site, and Echoes from our Past, page 227. According to this article, Mary was the daughter of Benjamin H. Duckworth and Mary Slade Duckworth.

2.  Isaac Anderson, b. Oct. 1785 in North Carolina, d. March 1871 in Covington, MS, buried in Anderson Cemetery (Ellisville, MS).  He married (1) Tracy Powell, on March 10, 1807 in North Carolina?, She was born in 1789 possibly North Carolina, d. Dec. 1, 1850 in Mississippi.  He married (2) Sarah Deason, July 27, 1852,  She was born June 6, 1829 in SC, (daughter of Amos Deason and Eleanor Entrekin) d. 1873, buried in Anderson Cemetery (Ellisville, MS).

                             Children by Tracy Powell:

                      i.     Mary Anderson, b. June 1, 1810 in GA, d. 1853.  She married James Leander Parker.

                      ii.    Alen Anderson, b. Sept. 4, 1812 in GA.  Children: Emline, Tracy, Polly, John, Elizabeth, Isabel, Louisa, Missouri, L. (Leroy?), Brown, J. A. (J. L.) from census reports 1850-1860. He married Mahala Wade, b. 1815 in GA or SC, d. 1902.

                      iii.   Henry Anderson, b. Sept. 14, 1814 in GA.  Children: Mary, 1845, Tracy, 1846, Martha J. 1854, Luzana, 1866 (Census records 1850, 1860, and 1870). He married Susan (Susannah).

                      iv.   Tina Easter (Esther) Anderson, b. Feb. 6, 1817 in Fannin, GA.  She married Jesse Walters.

                      v.    Irena Anderson, b. April 19, 1820 in MS.

                      vi.   Delpha Anderson, b. Oct. 17, 1822 in MS.  She married James Cooper.

                      vii.  Hiram Anderson, b. September 23, 1826 in MS.  Children: Julia, 1847, Tracy, 1848, Isaac N. 1851, Josephine M. 1852, Hiram G. S. 1853, Latsun D. 1855, William E. 1856, Susan N. 1858, Lydia L. 1859, Richmond R. 1863, Cicilly J. 1866, Laura L. 1867  (Based on census records for these years). He married Mary Ann Elizabeth DuVall.

3.  Asa Anderson, b. 1788 in GA or SC, d. Dec. 25, in between 1870-1880.  He married Elizabeth Welch, in 1812 in GA.  Elizabeth Welch was the daughter of Bryant Welch and Sabra Martin and the grand-daughter of Richard Welch, Rev. soldier and descendent of John Knox.

                             Children:

                      i.     Johnathan Anderson, b. 1816 in GA, d. 1903 in Jasper County, MS.  He married Ellidth Welch,  Both are buried at Liberty Cemetery Stringer, MS.

                      ii.    James Acey/Asa Anderson, b. 1817 in MS, and is buried in Old Mason Cemetery Sharon, MS.  He died during the Civil War at home of measles. He married Drucilla Johnson in 1846.  She is buried in Louin City Cem Jasper, MS.

                      iii.   Isaac Anderson, b. March 4, 1821, d. June 9, 1898 His will was probated in Marion County, MS.  He was a Baptist minister. He married Sarah Hosey Moss.

                      iv.   Susannah/Susan Anderson, b. abt. 1826.

                      v.    Elizabeth Anderson, b. 1827.  She married E. L.Donald.  They lived in Choctaw County, Alabama.

                      vi.   Ransom Anderson, b. 1828.  He married Eleanor Shows.  They moved to Texas.

                      vii.  Stacey Washington Anderson, b. 1832.  He married Frances Myrick.: They lived in Jasper County, MS. Stacey died in the Civil War.

                      viii. Eli S. Anderson, b. 1834.  He married Dicey Smith. They lived in Jasper County, MS.

                      ix.   Almedia Anderson, b. abt. 1820.  She married William Temples.

                      x.    Frances Anderson, b. 1837.  She married Mr. Sanders.

                      xi.   Nancy Anderson.  She married Mr. Shows.

                      xii.  Martha Anderson.  She married Mr. Smith.

                      xiii. Sarah Anderson.  She married Mr. Mayberry.  These last three: Nancy, Martha, and Sarah all moved to Texas.

                      xiv. Greenberry Anderson, b. 1839.

                      xv.  Elijah Anderson, b. 1849.

 

4.  Sarah Anderson, b. June 28,1792 in Cobb county, GA, d. in Hardin, Texas. She is buried in the Collins Cem.  Sarah was married to a Mr. Gibson who died one month after their marriage, so she was a young widow when she met Stacy. The information in this section comes from pages 225-227 Jones County Mississippi Echoes From Our Past, Vol. I copywright 2006. She married Stacy Collins, ob April 1,1808 in Twiggs County, GA, Stacy was born  Oct. 16, 1786 in Near Spartanburg, SC.  Their first two children were born in GA, but about 1812 they moved west to Wayne County, MS. They lived on Buckatunna Creek. About 1816 they moved north to Ellisville in Jones County.

                      ii.    Sara Collins, b. Nov. 17, 1810.  She married George Walters.

                      iii.   Betsy Collins, b. Nov. 12, 1812.  She married William Thompson.

                      iv.   Vinson Collins, b. Jan. 16, 1814.  He married Sarah Bynum, daughter of William Bynum.

                      v.    Mary Collins, b. June 19, 1817.  She married Robert Walters.

                      vi.   Simeon Collins, b. May 27, 1819.  He married Lydia Bynum.

                      vii.  Peggy Collins, b. Feb. 21, 1821.  She married Benjamin Bynum.

                      viii. Stacy Collins, Jr., b. Aug. 29, 1823.  He married Allie Walters.

                      ix.   Riley Collins, b. Dec. 23, 1825.  He married Desdemona Welch.

                      x.    Jasper Collins, b. Nov. 1, 1827.  He married Gatsey Powell.

                      xi.   Newton Collins, b. May 27, 1830.  He married Elizabeth Williams.

                      xii.  Warren Collins, b. Aug. 24, 1833.  He married Eboline Valentine.

                      xiii. Edwin Collins, b. March 20, 1840.                                                                                            About 1850, Stacy and Sarah along with their children, Nancy, Edwin, Newton, Warren, and Stacy, Jr. moved with their families to East Texas and settled in Hardin County. The rest of the family remained in Mississippi in Jones and Jasper counties.

5.  Isaac Anderson, b. Jan. 7, 1856 in Mississippi?, d. April 14, 1903, buried in Anderson Cemetery (Ellisville, MS).  He married Sarah Rebecca Pool, on Sept. 30, 1874. She was born . Oct. 27, 1859 in Quitman, MS, (daughter of Daniel Richardson Pool and Westduck Arrington) d. Aug. 6, 1939 in Ellissville, MS, buried in Anderson Cemetery (Ellisville, MS).

6.  Amos Anderson, b. April 21, 1858, d. Oct. 31, 1944.  He married Floy Dudley Pool on March 10, 1880 She was born . May 10, 1865, d. Jan. 31, 1955.

                      i.     Daniel Richard Pool Anderson, b. Aug. 29, 1882.  Known child: Betty Carol Anderson. He married Margaret Allen.

            15.     ii.    Nelli Westduck Anderson b. Aug. 27, 1885.

                      iii.   Lulla Voy Anderson, b. Feb. 17, 1887, d. June 22, 1903 in typhoid.

                      iv.   Amos Hopson Anderson.  Children: William Benjamin, Walter Webb, Lurline, Clifton, Amos Hopson, Jr. and Jeff Alvin. He married Etta Vilor Polk.

                      v.    Sara Mary Ella Anderson.  Children: Willie Marie, Margaret Blanche, and Floy Deloris. She married Will McCartay.

                      vi.   Chulia Arrington Anderson.  Children: Doris Louise, Jack Morris, Grace, and Jimmy Eugene. He married Margaret Keaton.

                      vii.  Flora Amelia Anderson.  Children: Pat Harrison, Richard Pool. She married Preston Darnel Dyess.

                      viii. Floy Ophelia Anderson.  Children: Helen Marie, Warren C., Margaret F., Paul Donald, Betty Jean, Bobby Harold, Shirley Ann. She married Harrison Belcher.

                      ix.   Eddie Mae Anderson.  She married Henry Edwards DeBoxtel.

                      x.    Candice Lucille Anderson.  She married John Stanford Parker.

                      xi.   Christine Goldsby Anderson.

                      xii.  Emma Lee Anderson.  Children: Gordon Moor, Jr.., Dorothy Jean, Christine. She married Gordon Moor Johnson.

                      xiii. Charlie Clyde Anderson.

                      xiv. Earl Turner Anderson.  Children: Peggy Ann, Sarah Nell, Francis Louise, Laura Fae, Robert Earle, Kenneth Amos, Patty Jane. He married Lena Sue Bond.

April 2, 1955 in Laurel, MS (automobile accident), buried in Lake Park Cemetery.  He married Ollie Magnolia Bradley on Nov. 30, 1903 in Ellisville, MS. She was born  Aug. 30, 1884 in Ellisville, MS, (daughter of John Oliver Bradley and Ada DuBose) d. April 7, 1957 in Laurel, MS, buried in Lake Park Cemetery, Laurel, MS

 

9.  Flora Jennie Lind Anderson, b. Feb. 10, 1880 in Ellisville, MS, d. Oct. 3, 1923.  She married George Burl Maxwell, married May 11, 1899.

      

10.  Jefferson Davis Anderson, b. August 1, 1887, d. July 1, 1973.  He married Mayme Quirk,  Nov. 22, 1910, She was born June 23, 1887, d. May 11, 1967.

           

11.  Fred Ackenhouse Anderson, b. July 5, 1891 in Ellisville, MS, d. Feb. 15, 1978.  He married Ester Hartman Mathews,  Oct. 2, 1911 She was born  June 22, 1892, d. Aug. 22, 1983.

 

12.  Maggie Ernestine Anderson, b. Dec. 18, 1896.  She married Clinton Lafayette Collins on Dec. 5, 1915 He was born. Dec. 30, 1896, d. March 11, 1957.
